Tim Cox inception into the Optical business was in 1973. I achieved full Certification in 1978 through the ABO and NAO. IN 1978 I took position at the University of Iowa Dept of Ophthalmology in charge of Optical Services. Then in 1978 began Low Vision Clinic in the Department of Ophthalmology at University of Iowa. In 1980 I joined the Educational Board for Opticians Association of Iowa. Received my Masters in 1983 in Ophthalmic Optics and also became a Certified Contact Lens Technician. Then I went on to start Fuerste Eye Clinic in 1984 and decided to open my own practice Cox Optical in 1992 till 2020. Enjoying my new position as manager of the Optical at Hartig Optical and Hearing Care.
